A Property Manager was arrested in the UK this week and faces extradition to the United States for violating US sanctions against Russia. Apparently our government doesn't like it when you acquire and manage properties for Russian Oligarchs. The wire fraud isn't going to help either...

Crowdstreet makes headlines as it completes a funding round to the tune of $43M. With investors pumping over $1.2B into deals on the the platform last year, Crowdstreet's growth is undeniable. They hope to use the funds to offer additional services and beef up their internal staff.

As these investing platforms continue to grow, I'm curious to see if more syndicators decide to partner with them and offload some of that capital raising burden. Those extra fees do not come cheap though. Everything has its cost.
